Zimbabwe northern parks road trip in 11 days (10 nights)
A four-park drive across northern Zimbabwe, starting at the falls and ending on the Zambezi floodplain. Two nights at Victoria Falls cover the rainforest path and a river cruise, then a tar road to three nights in Hwange, where the pumped waterholes concentrate elephant through the dry months. East to Lake Kariba for two nights of boat time and shoreline game, then the roughest leg of the trip into Mana Pools, where three nights allow both a walking morning and a canoe stretch. A high-clearance 4x4 is assumed throughout, and nothing is driven after dark.
The route, stop by stop
1. Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe · 2 nights
Two nights is enough for the full rainforest walk on the Zimbabwean side and one river cruise, while the town sorts fuel, cash and supplies for the rest of the drive.

2. Hwange, Zimbabwe · 3 nights
The park is large and its game viewing is waterhole viewing, so three nights lets you work different pans and platforms rather than one corner.

3. Kariba, Zimbabwe · 2 nights
Two nights on the lake is the deliberate slow patch after Hwange: boat cruises, drowned treelines and elephant on the shore instead of another early game drive.

4. Mana Pools, Zimbabwe · 3 nights
Mana is the one park here where visitors may walk, so three nights covers a walking morning, a canoe stretch and a slow evening on the riverbank.
