This version has fewer, longer stays, so children are not packing every morning. After a first night in Arusha, the family drives to Tarangire for three nights among baobabs and elephant herds, with a guided walk or night drive possible. The route then climbs the Rift Valley to Ngorongoro for two nights, which leaves a full day for the crater floor. It ends with four nights in the central Serengeti, or split between two areas depending on the herds, and a flight out to Kilimanjaro instead of a drive back.

The route, stop by stop
