Kigali and the Virunga volcanoes in 6 days (5 nights)

The first two nights are in Kigali, which leaves time to arrive, visit the Genocide Memorial and see some of the city. The traveller then drives north for about two to three hours to Musanze, the town at the edge of Volcanoes National Park, and stays three nights. That is enough for a gorilla trek, a golden monkey trek and a spare day in case a trek has to move. The trip ends with a drive back to Kigali airport. Only two bases and one road transfer keep the pace unhurried.
