A history-led week that begins with two nights in Johannesburg for the Apartheid Museum, Soweto and Constitution Hill. A road trip northwest leads to one night in Pilanesberg, a malaria-free reserve, with a sunset game drive. A flight south then gives four nights in Cape Town for the ferry to Robben Island, Table Mountain and a day down the peninsula to Simon's Town and the penguins at Boulders Beach. The trip has one road transfer and one domestic flight.
