A slow week through the Cape's wine country, built around estate stays and long meals. It starts with two nights on the Constantia wine route inside Cape Town, close to Table Mountain and the Peninsula. A road transfer inland leads to two nights in Franschhoek, a small village ringed by wine estates with their own restaurants and tasting rooms, then two nights among the estates of the Stellenbosch wine route. The last night is on the coast at Hermanus on Walker Bay, with the Hemel-en-Aarde valley's wine farms a short drive inland, before the drive back to Cape Town. Every stop is at least one night on or beside a wine estate, and the longest drive is about two hours.
